The Customer Account Manager (Sales Account Manager) handles all inside sales functions, including inbound/outbound telephone calls, processing of sales documents, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Preferred Experience
  • Prior automotive parts knowledge and previous sales experience preferred.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills.
  • Ability to communicate on the phone 90% or more of shift.
  • Understanding of customer’s current needs and ability to anticipate future requirements.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Extensive computer use; experience with Microsoft Windows preferred.
  • Excellent negotiating abilities.

Duties
  • Handles high volume of telephone calls, taking orders and closing sales.
  • Sources new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calls.
  • Processes all calls with efficiency and accuracy, keeps digital notes, verifies orders before entry.
  • Ensures accounts are serviced per company standards.
  • Recognizes customer buying patterns and promotes new product lines.
  • Maintains regular contact with key accounts and prospects to build sales.
  • Investigates and resolves customer issues professionally.
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals.
  • Stays current on product knowledge and trends.
  • Travel may be required as directed by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
