Dietrich Trucking is seeking an
* experienced and highly skilled Diesel Mechanic
* to join our maintenance team. This position is ideal for a mechanic who can independently diagnose complex issues and maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment. The role involves major servicing and repairs on our modern fleet of dump trucks and trailers, both in-shop and in the field, in all weather conditions.

* Key Responsibilities
* * Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

* Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace ignition, fuel, lighting, and computer control systems

* Conduct welding and fabrication on mobile and stationary equipment as needed

* Lead or assist with troubleshooting for complex mechanical and electronic issues across the fleet

* Maintain detailed service and repair documentation and communicate clearly with dispatch and fleet management

* Ensure all work meets DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards

* Qualifications
* * Minimum
* 3–5 years of diesel mechanic experience* (truck or heavy equipment preferred)

* Must pass pre-employment drug screen

* Proven ability to perform unsupervised diagnostics and repairs on trucks and trailers

* Strong working knowledge of air brake systems, hydraulics, DEF systems, and electrical schematics

* Proficient in welding and light fabrication

* Must have own hand tools

* Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL a plus)

* Ability to lift 75 lbs and work from ladders or aerial platforms

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
