Summit is the busiest Level III Trauma hospital in Tennessee. In this position you will be working in an 18-bed Surgical ICU that primarily cares for general critical patients and post cardiac intervention.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinate care for patients. The RN is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limited to: assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
