Job Summary and QualificationsThe Inpatient Rehab Nurse Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
What you will do in this role:
- Maintain responsibility for workflow of unit by ensuring proper staff levels with adherence to all productivity and budget guidelines.
- Ensure a high quality of patient care and assist in patient care as necessary.
- Maintain responsibility for the financial integrity of the unit.
- Handle all staffing needs and personnel management, including interviewing, hiring and training new staff members, and handling any disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with the Program Director with the development and implementation of the rehabilitation strategic plan, being consistently aware of the changing rehabilitation market.
- Direct and manage the resources of the Rehab Unit in an ethical, viable manner.
- Assure the development of quality rehabilitation programming to meet market needs in collaboration with the Medical Director and other clinical staff.
- Ensure the supply of appropriate resources to support the programs, services, organizational structure and staffing levels necessary for quality rehabilitation services.
- Actively encourage the integration of rehabilitation services into the continuum of care of the Hospital and community.
- Establish operations and processes to support, facilitate, and maintain uniform performance of patient care including documentation.
