American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment, requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

• 5th floor Medical-Surgical unit with 33 beds
• Patient ratios of 6:1 on days and 7:1 on nights
• Unit supported by 3 techs per shift and unit secretary coverage on dayshift
• Uses IV pumps, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and SCDs
• Charting completed in Meditech
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Scheduled to work every other weekend
• Floats in rotation to other appropriate areas as needed

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical-Surgical unit
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• No local candidates will be considered under any circumstances
