Responsibilities of the Parts Counterman
  • Assist retail and shop customers with parts selection in a friendly, professional manner.

  • Provide information on companion parts, specials, and full product offerings.

  • Answer phone calls and provide price quotes and product details.

  • Review body shop estimates to ensure accurate parts and pricing.

  • Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers.

  • Pull, fill, and replenish stock orders and notify management of out-of-stock items.

  • Update service advisors and customers when special orders arrive.

  • Follow up on back-ordered parts.

  • Support outside sales representatives with their orders.

  • Ensure all internal parts requests are billed correctly on repair orders.

  • Process payments, issue credits, and maintain accurate records and invoices.

  • Maintain clean, organized front and rear counter areas.

  • Participate in training programs and stay current on new products.

  • Assist the parts manager in tracking lost sales.

Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role preferred.

  • Completion of a drug screen and acceptable background check.
