Branch Manager Overview

As a Branch Manager in a Chase Branch, you will be at the forefront of delivering attentive and friendly service, creating a welcoming environment that puts employees and clients first. You will lead and manage all aspects of the branch including growing deposits and investments, operations, and coaching the team for success. You will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality, delivering the latest banking solutions and cutting‑edge financial technology, and collaborating with our team of experts to help meet specialized financial needs for clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Be a motivating force for the branch team by sharing a clear vision and embodying our culture and values of Service, Heart, Curiosity, Courage, and Excellence.
  • Deliver on the goals of the branch by leveraging the Branch Scorecard to identify strategies to successfully grow deposits and investments.
  • Prioritize understanding and meeting the needs of our clients to build lasting relationships and trust.
  • Build and cultivate a high‑performing team through coaching, feedback, and celebrating successes to boost morale and motivation.
  • Encourage ongoing learning and development within the team to keep skills sharp and stay ahead in the industry.
  • Forge meaningful relationships with local businesses to strengthen our branch presence and actively engage with the community.
  • Ensure a strong risk and control environment by using sound judgment, acting with integrity, and protecting our company and clients, following policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Passion for creating exceptional experiences and setting the tone in the branch, ensuring every client feels valued and every team member is part of a dynamic culture.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with a proven track record of coaching and empowering employees to achieve remarkable results and grow in their roles.
  • Master of multitasking, excelling at organizing and managing competing priorities while developing plans for growth and success.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, changing environment, using strong decision‑making skills to navigate challenges and lead the team confidently.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a strong risk and control environment, with steadfast commitment to operational integrity and adherence to policies.
  • Strong desire and ability to influence, educate, and connect the team, partners, and clients with technology, making it accessible and exciting for everyone involved.
  • 2+ years of management, retail banking, or equivalent Chase leadership experience.
  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • Ability to work branch hours including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • College degree or military equivalent.
Training and Travel Requirement
  • Successfully complete our Branch Manager Training Program before being considered for placement.
  • Be able to travel as required for in‑person training and meetings; some travel may be out‑of‑state.

This position is subject to the Dodd‑Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on a review of criminal convictions, credit reports, and other information relevant to financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Your continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including immediate registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), timely renewal, and necessary updates thereafter.
