Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Help customers load bags into their cars when needed.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including spills and trash.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and assist with store layout and product location.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and comply with food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and providing support.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Retail experience preferred but not required
