Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver in Hernando, MS. We want a reliable driver who can start immediately and assist in building a strong team.

• Average weekly earnings: $1,800
• Solo miles: 1,700 miles per week
• Stop pay: $25.50 per stop (12 stops per week)
• Per diem: $60.00 per night, 1–3 nights per week
• Paid training and equipment: yes
• Schedule:
  
  7‑day operation; work 5 ½ days per week, starting with weekend shifts
• Start time: varies

• Destination: TN, MS, AR, MO, KS, LA, WI, IA, IL (solo)

• Trailer:
  Reefer and dry van, 53′
• Ryder will provide training on all equipment
• Additional equipment: pallet jack
• Freight: driver‑assist unload, touch‑load groceries

• Uniform, cell phone, and boot allowance provided

• Minimum age 21
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (drug/alcohol verification from past employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months of experience within the past 3 years, or
  • 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or
  • 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
