Job Overview ATTENTION RECENT OR DECEMBER COLLEGE GRADS!!The Junior Accountant will support Fran Connect’s global order to cash strategy for all customer accounts. The Junior Accountant will establish and build strong relationships with internal cross‑functional business partners (e.g., Sales, Customer Success, Operations, etc.) to resolve customer invoice questions in a timely manner. This role is responsible for accurately translating contract terms into Sales Orders in Net Suite to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of customer invoices.
In addition, the Junior Accountant will also work directly with customers to resolve any questions or issues that may arise from the invoicing process.
This is a hybrid role that requires weekly onsite attendance in the Herndon, VA HQ office:
In‑office Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform entry‑level accounting functions that primarily focus on onboarding new customers and generating the monthly invoices.
- Review and interpret customer contracts to create Sales Orders in Net Suite that capture all relevant terms and conditions to properly recognize revenue and invoice customers.
- Generate monthly subscription invoices for all of Fran Connect’s global customers, including calculating and verifying monthly usage fees are complete and accurate.
- Generate professional services invoices ensuring they comply with contract terms and verify the accuracy of all relevant information (e.g., resource type, hourly fees, discounts, etc.).
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers regarding invoicing matters and questions.
- Reconcile Net Suite sales tax liability with Avalara to ensure on‑time filing and payment.
- Support sales team by providing copies of invoices, change in usage reports, and white‑space analysis.
- Process all sales order renewals and price increases.
- Maintain internal billing report for accurate usage tracking.
- Create and record all inter‑company transfer pricing invoices and bills.
- Support the team with month‑end closing processes and assist with general ledger reconciliations (e.g., bank reconciliations).
- Assist with and provide documentation for annual audit.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Business Administration or relevant field
- 0-3 years of accounting/finance‑related internship or professional experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving skills
- Sound organizational and time‑management skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel preferred
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proactive and self‑starter
- Inquisitive mindset that likes to problem‑solve and identify opportunities to improve processes
- Knowledge of Net Suite and/or Salesforce a plus
