We're seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to support our finance operations and help drive excellence in our vendor and payment processes.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team in Herndon, VA. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about optimizing AP processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial operations.

• Help to manage accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Review and resolve discrepancies in vendor accounts and communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to AP.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Mentor junior AP staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• This role is around 70% a sole contributor role without direct supervision

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Experience in a multi-entity or international organization.
