Senior Accountant

* * seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented  
** Senior Accountant
** to join our team in Herndon, VA.  
** This is a hybrid position (Thursdays on site).*
* The ideal candidate will be a technical accountant with an understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and/or ASC 842 Leases, as well as a background in financial reporting and analysis.

** Responsibilities to include but not limited to:*
* + Monitor large volumes of data and ensure data is accurately organized and up to date, maintaining a clear overview of the status.

+ Collaborate with project teams to assess the revenue recognition method under ASC 606, then document the analysis and conclusions clearly and comprehensively

+ Prepare and review lease-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and disclosures in accordance with ASC 842

+ Create and maintain lease accounting schedules and reports.

+ Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.

+ Provide support for ad hoc projects and additional analyses as needed.

+ Ensure compliance with internal control requirements.

* Minimum Qualifications:

*
* + Bachelor's degree in accounting

+ CPA certification

+ Minimum of 3 years of prior public accounting experience (Big4 preferred)

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Knowledge of ASC 606 and/or ASC 842 standards

+ Experience in the Government Contracting industry

+ Familiarity with the following software:
Lease Query, Sales Force, Google Suite, Share Works

** Security Clearance Requirement:*
* + US Citizenship

* + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

+ Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations

+ Must be able to provide accurate information in these situations
