Little Oaks Montessori Academy is a Montessori School seeking Assistant Infant Teacher to support our early childhood education Montessori Program!
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma or GED. Previous childcare experience a plus!
Required Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Compensation: $18 - $20 an hour, based on education and experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate positively and in a confidential manner by providing positive feedback and encouragement to administration, staff, children, and parents. Be open to receiving constructive criticism.
- Willingness to receive and implement training in child development, Montessori philosophy, Love and Logic, and adhere to all state regulations pertaining to care and supervision of children.
- Assist Lead Teacher in daily record keeping, including daily progress reports and observations.
- Help to build positive relationships with parents and their children by respecting cultural differences.
- Assist in setting behavior standards and use positive behavior management techniques that are age appropriate by modeling behavior for children.
- Aide in maintaining the classroom environment indoors and outdoors and ensure the environment is safe, nurturing, healthy and stimulating for young children.
- Follow security procedures at all times.
- Immediately report any suspicion of abuse or neglect, illness, accident or distress concerning the children, families, colleagues or self to the Director.
- Participates in on-going professional development activities and state required trainings.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
