Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Supply Chain Quality Manager – Propulsion to join our Procurement department in Hartford, CT. The Procurement team acquires indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, ensuring on‑time delivery and high quality of equipment and systems. This role requires expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management and strong relationship‑building skills to proactively mitigate supply chain issues.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure on‑time delivery of propulsion systems.
  • Collaborate with supplier Program, Industrial, Supply Chain, and Quality leadership.
  • Analyze suppliers’ production value streams, provide feedback on improvement opportunities to de‑risk performance.
  • Work with Airbus employees across the U.S., Europe and suppliers to secure on‑time and on‑quality delivery of propulsion systems.
  • Lead corrective and preventive actions with suppliers to meet Airbus targets.
  • Maintain an outlook of key industrial, quality, supply chain risks and opportunities to drive action plans.
  • Integrate Supply Chain activities with other procurement offices and central Propulsion Operations Procurement teams.
  • Manage industrial targets, deviations and implement corrective actions through root‑cause analysis and eradication methods.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in aerospace/industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in aerospace or automotive industry in industrial planning, supply chain, quality management, or continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning, Risk Management, and Lean Six Sigma desirable.
  • Experience leading industrial capacity and quality assessments.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (preferred) and Lean Six Sigma certification (desired).
  • Valid driver’s license and passport required.
  • 50% domestic and international travel (regular travel within Airbus sites and to propulsion suppliers).
Physical Requirements

Travel by car and plane, carry luggage, walk/stand/sit at supplier sites, communicate (hear, speak, type), and use computers for extended periods. Essential functions include: travel, standing, typing, and vision.

This position requires the holder to be a U.S. Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or eligible non‑citizen).
