This position is for a Principal Project Engineer supporting the Orion Program Management Office. The chosen candidate will support the Orion Program with project leadership, execution of program transformation initiatives, and cost reduction activities. The candidate will develop business strategy plans, program management plans, and will be responsible for coordination, collaboration, integration, and status with the Orion Program Management Office, LM executive leadership, our international partners, and the NASA customer.
A key and critical focus of this position will be to lead key initiatives focused on improving existing program performance to enable a sustained production program that enables future missions and program opportunities.

CompensationThe annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $166,400 – $288,305. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 – $255,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Basic QualificationsDemonstrated experience in program and project management, leading business strategy and program capture initiatives, and leading complex transformations of organizations. This position requires system engineering background, experience in human spaceflight and deep space exploration, and a keen business acumen.
Desired SkillsMinimum of 10 years’ experience in program/project management and systems engineering. Familiarity with human spaceflight customers, stakeholders, and industry. Strong project management, system integration, team building, and communication skills. Experience in program change management. Exposure and knowledge of capture management process. Must be willing to travel.
