Overview Of Opportunity

Join the Wireless Division at Two Six Technologies in Herndon, Virginia, where we advance the state of the art in digital signal processing and wireless systems to uncover, analyze, and secure complex communication technologies. We are seeking a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to contribute to cutting‑edge R&D programs in a hands‑on laboratory environment, developing innovative solutions that support the intelligence community.

As part of a multidisciplinary team of RF engineers, embedded developers, and security researchers, you will apply deep DSP expertise to reverse engineer real‑world systems, design and implement advanced wireless algorithms, and develop mission‑focused RF applications that deliver meaningful national security impact.

What You Will Do
  • Analyze system and software requirements to determine design feasibility within performance, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Design, implement, and optimize digital signal processing algorithms for real‑world wireless systems
  • Perform signal detection, identification, classification, and decoding of captured waveforms
  • Develop and evaluate receiver, transmitter, and modem architectures for RF systems
  • Perform RF signal reception and transmission using common modulation schemes (FSK, PSK, QAM, OFDM, etc.)
  • Solve complex technical problems in communications, signals collection, electronic warfare, and data processing
  • Develop experiments and prototypes in laboratory environments using SDR hardware, FPGA development platforms, and RF test and measurement equipment
  • Contribute subject matter expertise in DSP, Software Defined Radio (SDR), and wireless communications systems
What You Will Need (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on DSP development experience using Texas Instruments (TI) DSP platforms (e.g., C6000 family or similar), including real‑time signal processing applications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing DSP and SDR systems in a laboratory environment using SDRs, FPGAs, and RF test equipment
  • Experience designing and implementing receiver, transmitter, and modem signal chains in cellular, radio, or RF communication systems
  • Experience with physical layer (PHY) and Medium Access Control (MAC) layer concepts, including waveform processing, synchronization, channel estimation, framing, and link‑level behavior
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with one or more modern development languages: C, C++, Embedded C
  • Familiarity with open‑source signal processing libraries and frameworks
  • Software‑defined radio expertise, including receiver architectures, channelization, modulation/demodulation techniques, error‑correcting codes, and spectral analysis
  • Experience implementing DSP algorithms with real‑time or near‑real‑time performance constraints on CPU‑, DSP‑, or FPGA‑based platforms
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
Nice If You Have
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and implement end‑to‑end wireless communication systems with real‑world performance requirements
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Proficiency with SDR and FPGA tools such as GNU Radio, Radio Hacker, GQRX, Vivado, or Model Sim
  • Experience working alongside experts in antenna design, RF systems, SIGINT processing, communications systems, or hardware prototyping
  • Experience developing DSP systems across heterogeneous platforms (CPUs, DSPs, FPGAs, GPUs, and SDRs) in Linux environments
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
Security Clearance
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
