Cloud Systems Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Cloud Systems Engineer with Security Clearance
TS/SCI with Favorable Polygraph is required for this position. The Cloud Architect/Engineer will be responsible for providing cloud engineering support to help design and build a cloud architecture. The Cloud Architect/Engineer will work with system owners to analyze requirements, implement best-practice methodologies, and integrate new technologies for enterprise data systems. Other tasks include performing O&M, implementing effective Dev Sec Ops  best practices and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system designs meet security requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze system requirements in the context of commercial best practices and the customer’s strategic direction

• Identify technical and security risks and develop mitigation strategies to address risks

• Prototyping technical solutions to address technology problems, gaps, and risks

• Identify and analyze user IT-related requirements and procedures

• Elicit and document user requirements from the customer and create systems engineering and project management documentation

• Review system capabilities and workflow to make innovation recommendations

• Conduct business process modeling in support of planning and analysis efforts

• Maintain project and program level documentation to help manage the development and enhancement efforts for an enterprise system

• Support O&M effort such as troubleshooting, upgrades, and patching

• Identify and mitigate system and data risks

• Maintain system and security compliance Recommended

Skills:

• Experience with AWS; certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect and Solutions Professional are preferred

• Experience with performing O&M on Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems

• Experience with system and network monitoring, auditing, and logging such as Splunk

• Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL

• Experience translating business needs into actionable technical requirements

• Effective written and oral communications in interactions with peers and customers to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projects.

• Experience with enterprise IT systems design and implementation

• Experience developing contingency plans
