Job Description:

This position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph. The selected candidate will be part of the Space – Security & Emergency Services organization and function as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in Herndon, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.

Carry out technical administration of Information Systems (IS) in accordance with internal Lockheed Martin and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.

Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance within the allotted time frame.

Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.

Balance competing priorities amongst multiple customers and programs.

Auditing is a large part of this role’s responsibility.

Basic Qualifications:

TS/SCI with Polygraph
DoD 8140 IAM Level II or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
IT Systems/Information Assurance experience
Experience in network security
Working knowledge of the RMF process

Desired Skills:

Experience with Security Directives, Policies, Publications and Regulations
Excellent communication skills

Other Important Information:

Ability to Work Remotely: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees, including condensed schedules.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour days, 3 days off per week.
