X, Inc. is searching for a data management lead to provide expert leadership and guidance to our federal government client, USCIS, for support data strategy and modernization initiatives. This role supports the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) and the Office of Performance and Quality (OPQ). The position is responsible for leading the overall development of data governance guidance and practices, data sharing, data integrity and security as well as leading the overall technical development of data governance, data sharing, data standards and data quality.

The person in this position will also lead the expansion of data management standards across the client’s current and future systems, identify key strategies, develop and present recommendation packages including impact assessments, consult with external offices as needed, implement approved data standards and develop monitoring and reporting capabilities.

• Bachelor's of Science degree in data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field of study
• Proven experience in business intelligence and data modernization initiatives
• 5+ years of experience leading data management efforts including data policy, data sharing, data governance, data standards and data quality
• 5+ years of experience managing business intelligence initiatives in collaboration with federal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs)
• 4+ years of experience supporting data strategy, business intelligence and data modernization efforts at UCSIS
• Prior experience leading a diverse team of data analysts and data engineers supporting data modernization initiatives

• Understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), automation and process orchestration technologies for federal environments
• Professional certifications in the following:
  • Data Management Professional
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner
  • Tableau Desktop Specialist
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

• Provide expert leadership and guidance in performance on the USCIS Data Strategy Support Services (DSSS3) contract
• Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for the USCIS division supporting data management initiatives
• Lead the overall technical development of data governance guidance and practices, data sharing, data integrity and security
• Lead and drive the dashboard and reporting roadmap to meet priorities and outcomes for the USCIS data strategy
• Champion and enable the use of Agile best practices
