Position

Responsibilities
  • Build predictive models using classification, regression, clustering, and time series techniques to solve business problems
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies, and insights in large datasets from multiple sources
  • Create features from structured and unstructured data; apply feature engineering techniques to improve model performance
  • Develop and validate models using proper train/test splits, cross‑validation, and appropriate evaluation metrics
  • Conduct A/B tests and analyze experiments to measure impact of product changes or new features
  • Build dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders; create data visualizations that tell compelling stories
  • Collaborate with data engineers on data pipeline requirements; ensure data quality and availability for analytics
  • Document analyses thoroughly including methodology, assumptions, and limitations; ensure reproducibility of work
  • Support production models by monitoring performance, investigating issues, and recommending improvements
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of data science experience with hands‑on model building and statistical analysis
  • Statistical knowledge
    :
    Understanding of hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and clustering methods
  • Programming proficiency
    :
    Strong Python (pandas, scikit‑learn, matplotlib/seaborn) and SQL skills
  • ML experience
    :
    Practical experience building and evaluating predictive models; familiarity with common algorithms and when to use them
  • Data manipulation
    :
    Comfortable working with messy, real-world data; ability to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis
  • Visualization
    :
    Experience creating clear visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries
  • Communication
    :
    Ability to present findings clearly to both technical and business audiences
  • Tools
    :
    Experience with Jupyter notebooks, Git, and collaborative data science workflows
  • Bonus
    :
    Exposure to NLP, recommendation systems, or optimization problems; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/OCI)
  • Education
    : BS in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; MS preferred
Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $68,500.00 - $. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job‑related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity. Benefits and perks listed here may vary depending on the nature of employment with Deltek.
