Clearance Requirement

Best Value Technology, Inc. (BVTI) is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) that desires to connect with a self-motivated and customer-oriented Network Administrator to lead our Network Operations Team, supporting our customer in the Intelligence Community. BVTI is the prime contractor on a secure, long-term, high-profile contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily administration of the network and server environment.

They will monitor, test, and support network performance, including troubleshooting issues and deploying solutions, ensuring no disruption to mission-critical applications.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the IT Manager, serve as the team's technical lead for the Network Operations Team, providing experienced analysis of local and wide-area network systems.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and deploy solutions.
  • Install, configure, and manage Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Cisco firewalls, and encryption devices to ensure network integrity and secure data flow.
  • Install, monitor, and maintain network systems and activities to ensure continuous, efficient, and secure operation.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of file servers, Cisco firewalls, network access, security systems, Cisco routers, and customer operations.
  • Experience using Cisco IOS CLI commands to configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco devices.
  • Implement and coordinate network policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Document network issues and events using standard formats and report results to the IT Manager.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service, including technical support to non-IT staff.
  • Actively contribute expertise in network administration practices with the other network administrators on the team.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • 7+ years of recent and relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college, or equivalent is preferred.
  • The following certifications are preferred, and salary will be proportionate to experience and retention of certifications:
    • Relevant DoD 8140

      Certifications:

      CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, or GSEC.
    • Desired

      Certifications:

      CCNA/CCNP, Network+
