Systems Engineer

Systems Engineer position at B/CORE in Herndon, VA

We are looking for a skilled engineer with experience in Microsoft Exchange administration and Windows infrastructure who will help modernize our customer missions and protect national cyber interests.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
• Minimum 11 years of experience in MS Exchange engineering

• Active Directory architecture, design, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting
• Exchange administration transitioning from on-premises to Exchange Online in a hybrid M365 environment
• Database Availability Groups (DAG) implementation and troubleshooting
• Performance troubleshooting of MS Exchange and Windows Server
• Independent work ability with minimal supervision
• Technical issue management: strong problem‑solving, setting customer expectations, implementing action plans, professional communication

• Security Development Operations (Sec Dev Ops ) familiarity
• Communication technologies and solution architecture experience
• Service Now proficiency
• Authentication and Authorization in A&A and SSP processes
• Tier 3/4 technical support experience
• Agile development methodology experience
• Modern software languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.)
• Automation using Power Shell scripts
• Microsoft administration or engineering certifications, including Azure
