Sr. Technical Program Manager, DC Security
We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager for the AWS Data Center Physical Security team. In this role you will scope and deliver large programs end-to‑end, managing schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations while driving high‑quality delivery of new features and security solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cross‑team delivery of long‑term, customer‑facing security programs, owning program scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand future requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Coordinate design and implementation efforts across engineering, operations, and partner teams.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs against technical constraints.
- Plan and facilitate events, manage action items, and drive data‑driven decision making through analysis of metrics and operational data.
- Develop KPIs to demonstrate program value and effectiveness.
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You will join a diverse group of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while supporting the cloud’s global scale.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
- 5+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Experience managing projects across cross‑functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
- Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
- 4+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation experience.
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
- Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced business or engineering education.
