Our clients program provides technical solutions to a government customer. They are looking to bring on a candidate to their growing team of systems administrators to assist with customer needs, including user administration, file sharing, monitoring and ticketing. This team works alongside developers and closely with the end user. Day to Day Responsibilities:
The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring and administering Oracle databases. They should have experience with Oracle 19c. The day to day will be mainly managing Oracle databases so they should have experience with RMAN backups, doing database maintenance, stepping into tables, duplicating table entries, queries. They should know how the Oracle structure works.
The Admin will also help with the design, engineering and implementation of Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) to enable single sign-on access to multi-tenant environments, systems and applications.
Other responsibilities may include:
Manage, monitor, and administer database system and performance activities
Plan for transition of the development and/or production environments to new technologies
Install upgrades and critical patch updates as they become available on both the test and production environments
Support database development and implementation by participating in pilot testing and providing information on changes required in the database
Ensure that proposed object definitions are clear, concise, and technical correct, and that they represent singular concepts
Modify and customize commercial programs for internal needs
Test all database changes in the test environment prior to deploying the changes to the production environment such as ICD
