Job SummaryEMCOR Government Services is seeking an Area Manager (AM) to lead our contract Janitorial Services, supporting a major customer in the intelligence community located in Herndon, VA
. The AM leads a team of dedicated and talented professionals in delivering a wide range of Janitorial support services. The Area Manager serves as the primary point of contact for Property Management for day‑to‑day operational issues, schedules all periodic cleaning, inspects the premises on a regular basis, investigates tenant complaints, and reports all items needing repair or maintenance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Responsible for scheduling, training, assigning work, evaluating, and documenting employee performance.
- Maintains accurate and proper records, which include ensuring all employees clock in/out.
- Serve as the site’s QC Manager along with Supervisors/Leads.
- Responsible for sending out reports and all necessary deliverables.
- Organize and supervise ongoing operations.
- Keeps all equipment clean and otherwise well‑maintained.
- Maintain a working knowledge of cleaning methods set forward by EGS.
- Maintains a clean and well‑organized office and supply closets.
- Complete all required paperwork and reporting pertaining to the site daily.
- Take immediate action on client complaints, reporting problems to the Area Manager.
- Reallocate personnel as required to cover for absenteeism. Wear/use all safety equipment provided by EGS.
- Attend all training required by EGS.
- Perform other duties as directed by Management.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and services.
- Ability to work with and around chemicals and dust.
- Must have the ability to work with other employees and to take directions from Management.
- Two or more years of equivalent experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/poly.
- Walking and standing, climbing.
- Bending forward, wearing hip/backpack vacuum.
- Reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, sometimes over the shoulder.
