Systems Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer- IPv6 for a 4 year contract job with a client in Herndon, VA.
Rate Range: $70/hr.
-$75/hr.;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Network Engineer with strong IPv6 expertise to support network assessment, design, testing, and implementation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess network infrastructure for IPv6 readiness and identify gaps.
- Design and implement IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networks and scalable IPv6 addressing plans.
- Develop HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, routing policies, and migration plans
. - Support IPv6 multicast routing
, tunneling, NAT
64/DNS
64, and QoS. - Perform lab testing, PoCs, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Work with security, systems, and application teams on end-to-end IPv6 compatibility.
- Serve as an IPv6 SME
, mentor engineers, and support CAB/change management activities.
