• Responsible for the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team to maximize total revenue and ensuring sales goals are met and exceeded.
• Established client base and cultivate relationships, building business, and provide a stable and positive work environment for the team.
• Spend a significant amount of time out of the hotel surveying market and comp set/neighboring hotels, researching new clients/opportunities, and knowing the market and its environment.
• Observe local trends in the market.
• Conduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
• Supporting and Developing the Sales Managers.

• Minimum 3-5 years of Sales Experience.
• Any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experience.
• Past Marriott Hotel Sales Manager in the SMERF experience a plus.
• 4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meets client needs, and resolve complaints.
• Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
• Detail-oriented.
