Sales Manager – Herndon, VA

We specialize in high‑speed Internet access and Ethernet transport services and operate an all‑optical IP backbone with service in over 216 markets.

• Lead a sales team of Sales Managers and their representatives.
• Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet assigned new revenue quotas.
• Engage directly with customers; customer contact will comprise a major portion of this assignment.
• Coach, train and develop the managers and sales reps in selling Cogent products.

• Motivated, driven, and exhibit great work ethic.
• Proven track record of success selling telecom/technology products.
• Experience finding new business.
• Strong team leadership and management experience, including managing Sales Managers.
• College degree preferred.
• Proficiency with PC applications such as Word, Excel and CRM systems.
• Some travel required.
