Position Title: Cleared Full-Time Armed FLEX Security Officer

Overview

Are you ready to step into a dynamic role with a variable Full-Time schedule? This position offers flexible shifts that change weekly based on incumbent officer’s PTO, training, and call-offs. If you prefer a fixed schedule later, you can request one when a permanent schedule opens. Assignments are at client sites in the 20151 and 22060 zip codes.

Pay Transparency

• Pay Range:
  Starting at $43.51 for Baseline Officers and up to $49.94 for Captains.
• Plus an extra $4.23 for Health and Welfare

Responsibilities

• Deter and report unauthorized access
• Prevent and respond to emergencies
• Monitor and respond to security systems
• Identify and report hazardous conditions
• Manage access to secured areas
• Enforce site security regulations
• Document incidents and investigations
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Manage keys and safe/vault combinations
• Conduct facility patrols
• Engage in specialized duties with K-9 teams, Bike Patrol, Emergency Response, and Security Operations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Security
  
  Clearance Required:
  
  TS-SCI-CI Poly
• U.S. Citizen
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license
• No domestic violence convictions (Lautenberg compliance)
• One of the following: two years of service in the U.S. Armed Forces; two years of experience in physical security or a combination of military service and security experience; an Associate degree or higher in a security-related or law enforcement field; completion of a police officer basic training academy; or three years of experience as a security officer

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years in Federal or local law enforcement with recent SWAT or tactical experience
• 5+ years in Federal or local law enforcement with demonstrated career progression
• 4+ years of recent military experience in a combat arms MOS
• Solid work history with upward movement and no unexplained gaps

Additional Qualifications

• Successful completion of pre-employment testing and training
• Pass employment physical, background checks, and client approval for specific work locations

Working Conditions

• Business hours are 24/7; weekend availability is required
• Work is in a busy environment with frequent interruptions
• Outdoor conditions, extreme temperatures and weather may apply
• Subject to high noise levels

Physical Requirements

• Heavy work: occasionally up to 200 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs, and constantly up to 20 lbs to move objects
• Visual and audio acuity to operate vehicles, heavy equipment, and safety apparatus
• Hazards include proximity to moving parts, electrical hazards, heat, or chemicals
• May be required to be fitted for and/or wear a respirator
• Standing for extended periods; may climb stairs or ladders and traverse uneven terrain
