High Voltage Electrician (DD) – Dulles Discovery, Herndon, VA

We are looking for an experienced High Voltage Electrician to troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment in the Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings. The role involves over 7 years of experience, a journeyman license or higher, and follows the Local 26 collective bargaining agreement.

• Troubleshoot all on‑site equipment.
• Be available off‑hour for emergencies.
• Perform preventive maintenance of all electrical equipment.
• Implement corrective actions and report deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Attend client and USG meetings, providing corrective solutions.
• Monitor electrical subcontractors and provide required reports.
• Carry out other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

• Journeyman Electrician license or higher.
• At least 7 years of maintenance and repair experience on commercial‑industrial building electrical equipment.
• Proficiency with switch gear up to 13.2 kV, motor control systems, transformers, electrical panels, MCCs, and VFDs.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Knowledge of electrical switch gear and building electrical systems.
• Must obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI with poly‑graph.

• Heavy lifting/carrying up to 50 lb and pushing up to 100 lb.
• Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
• Manual dexterity and good mobility.
• Ability to move or lift equipment and supplies.
