EMCOR Government Services has an opportunity for a Utility Mechanic in Herndon, VA. The Utility Mechanic will supervise, troubleshoot and maintain site Generators, Pumps, Electric Motors and all Cumbustion Powered machines. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

EMCOR Government Services has an opportunity for a Utility Mechanic in Herndon, VA. The Utility Mechanic will supervise, troubleshoot and maintain site Generators, Pumps, Electric Motors and all Cumbustion Powered machines. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

* This position is contingent upon contract award. *

• Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
• Assist with the troubleshooting of all equipment on site to include, but not limited to, Generators, Pumps, Motors, Polaris Vehicles, Electric Carts Etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site to include, but not limited to site Generators, Pumps, Motors, Polaris Vehicles, Electric Carts Etc.
• Institute corrective action and/or inform his supervisor on any deficiencies found while performing preventative maintenance and daily inspections.
• Attend meetings with Client and USG and be prepared to provide corrective solutions to site issues.
• Monitor Subcontractors in their task and provide reports when needed.
• Perform any other tasks as directed by his supervisor.

• Must possess and maintain an EGSA Certification, General Generator Maintenance and Repair Certification, or 5–7-year experience in the Generator/Engine Repair and Maintenance Field
• Recommended Five (5) or more years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to:

Generators 1/+ KW Pumps Control Systems

Motors Heat Exchanger VFD’s

• Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.
• Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Power Plant Operations and basic knowledge of a Generator System.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance of a TS/SCI w/Polygraph

• Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 75 lbs)
• Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking.
• Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies, and parts.
• Manual dexterity and mobility
• Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
