Java Developer

Synthesis Systems is looking for a Java Developer for a long-term, contract in Herndon, VA.

The candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to government contract. Must be able to pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities include:

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a quick turnaround time and communicate root cause and workaround options to team members and clients
• Independently resolve system defects to be in-line with system requirements
• Design, develop, and unit test new enhancement requests
• Technical analysis and documentation of complex functions in the system
• Interact with other developers, testers and analysts on release and team initiatives

The candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to government contract. Must be able to pass a background investigation.

• Strong Java and J2EE application development experience with at least 5 years of experience.
• Must have ability to analyze requirements and formulate design
• Experience with Spring/Hibernate
• Experience with JDBC and SQL
• Experience with JBoss, Tomcat or Websphere
