Sr. System Development Engineer, AWS Cross Domain Services – Amazon Web Services (AWS)

The AWS Cross Domain Services team seeks a Systems Development Engineer passionate about operational excellence to operate and scale services that connect AWS regions with differing security requirements.

• Leverage latest cloud computing technologies to improve cross domain services for U.S. Government agencies.
• Operate, automate, and troubleshoot complex systems in partnership with software developer peers.
• Grow automation skills and deepen understanding of cloud computing design patterns.
• Build and maintain test fleets, perform functional and regression testing, define and perform stress testing, and monitor production software.

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 5+ years programming with at least one modern language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, Power Shell, Ruby).
• 4+ years experience developing, deploying, and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 4+ years experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance TS/SCI with Polygraph.

• 5+ years experience developing, programming, or scripting (Python/Java/Bash/Perl).
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Experience leading the design, build, and deployment of complex and performant software solutions in production.
