As a software engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. We’re looking for an experienced engineer like you with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production-ready.

This role is more than just coding. As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

5+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Java, JEE, or Python

Experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Open Shift

Experience with API development, including REST architectural style

Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Bitbucket, and Jenkins

Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot

Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development

Experience with Linux OS and command line interface

HS diploma or GED

Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP within 6 months of start date

Nice If You Have:

Experience with Open Systems Architecture design principles

Experience with Dev Ops technologies

Experience with CI/CD technologies, including Ansible, Jenkins, and GIT

Experience with Agile development or Scrum

Experience with Non-Relational Databases, including MongoDB

Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka

Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
