About the Role

We’re building an enterprise ERP system from scratch where AI isn’t a feature—it’s the foundation.

Join Deltek’s Engineering and Technology team to create the first truly AI‑native SMB ERP. Users will chat with their system instead of clicking through forms. Intelligent agents will handle routine tasks autonomously. And you’ll use AI to write better code faster.

This is a greenfield project. No legacy constraints. No technical debt. Just the opportunity to reimagine what enterprise software can be when designed for AI from day one.

You’ll deliver features independently while learning from senior engineers who are defining the future of software development. If you want to master AI‑assisted development while building something genuinely new, this is it.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement AI‑powered ERP components using Java, Quarkus, and Postgre
  
  SQL following established architectural patterns
• Apply prompt engineering strategies designed by senior engineers to enhance ERP modules with natural language interfaces and conversational experiences
• Integrate pre‑trained machine learning models into ERP features including data classification, predictive analytics, and intelligent workflow automation
• Implement RESTful APIs connecting digital assistant services with core ERP business logic based on provided specifications
• Independently own medium‑complexity features from implementation through deployment, ensuring code quality and performance
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI‑enhanced features including integration testing, prompt effectiveness validation, and performance verification
• Participate actively in code reviews, incorporating feedback and learning from senior team members
• Support entry‑level engineers and interns with coding questions, best practices, and technical guidance
• Contribute to technical documentation for features and components you develop

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related technical field
• 2‑4 years of professional experience in software development
• Proven track record of delivering production code in enterprise or SaaS environments
• Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams

  Proficient in Java (Java 17+) and Python with demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Frameworks: Experience with Quarkus, Spring Boot, or similar enterprise Java frameworks
