Overview

We are currently seeking a talented Applications Developer to join our mission-driven team supporting a wide range of applications and digital solutions. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing high-performance software that tackles the toughest challenges.

• Strong understanding of OCR tools and libraries (e.g., Tesseract, Google Vision API, etc.).
• Experience with:
• Implementing graphical user interface (GUI) components in web applications using the Angular framework
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Asynchronous programming paradigms
• Designing, developing, testing and implementing new applications based on project requirements
• Decomposing concepts into discrete development tasks and managing work to meet deadlines
• Developing wireframes and storyboards to help stakeholders conceptualize a front-end solution
• Optimizing front-end applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Automated testing for front-end applications (e.g., Jasmine, Selenium, Cypress)
• Experience with web-based platforms to perform searches or analytics on large data sets
• Familiarity with developing front-end solutions with accessibility (508) compliances in mind
• Middle-tier application design and development using Node.js, Java, or Python
• Development and deployment of applications in the Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) environment
• Amazon Web Services cloud environment
• Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Pandas, D3.js, ggplot)
• Open-source front-end libraries that manipulate PDF documents (e.g., PDF.js)
• Proficiency in Python, especially web service development in Flask or Django
