Software QA Specialist​/Applications Tester; TS​/SCI w​/Polygraph

About the role

You will work as part of a small test team supporting multiple software applications in varying stages of deployment.

What you'll do

• Know modern automated testing methodologies and technologies.
• Responsible for manual testing when the coding of an automated solution is impractical or not desirable.
• Work with application developers to support performance/load testing to evaluate application capabilities.

Qualifications

• Expert in Selenium Web Driver with experience in writing automated code (Java).
• Ability to evaluate developer assignments, understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate scenarios and probe for failure conditions.
• Proficient in using IDEs such as Intelli
  
  J, Eclipse, or Net Beans for coding.
• Experience working in a Linux environment (Bash scripting, vi).
• Expertise in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios.
• Demonstrated experience with manual and automated testing processes.
• Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving work environment.
• Ensure QA and testing approaches address vulnerabilities and follow best practices.
• Conduct and report testing based on industry standards.
• Maintain and update test environments.
• Development skills are essential, as automated testing involves significant coding. Hands-on experience with testing tools like JMeter and Selenium.

Highly Desired Skills

• Experience testing complex systems with external integration points.
• Knowledge of unit test frameworks such as JUnit and Postman.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
• Familiarity with source code management and CI/CD tools like Git Hub, Git Lab, Jenkins.
