Excavator Operator

Overview

Machine Driver - Groundworks (8T / 14T Excavator). Coinford are specialists in groundworks and concrete frame construction, delivering high-quality projects across the UK. We are currently looking for experienced Machine Drivers to operate 8T or 14T excavators on our groundworks sites. This role suits a reliable operator with solid groundworks experience who can work safely, follow instructions, and support day-to-day site operations.

• Operating 8T or 14T excavators safely and efficiently
• Carrying out general groundworks duties including excavation, back filling, trimming, and levelling
• Working to drawings, levels, and site instructions
• Assisting with drainage, foundations, and external works as required
• Working safely around other plant, operatives, and live services
• Completing daily machine checks and reporting defects
• Keeping the machine clean, safe, and well maintained
• Supporting the site team to meet programme requirements

• Proven experience operating 8T or 14T excavators on groundworks sites
• CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator ticket (relevant category)
• Good understanding of health & safety on site
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and professional approach
