Are you a passionate Humanities Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity? Simply Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Canterbury seeking a dedicated teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
The successful candidate will primarily teach Religious Studies and History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the possibility of delivering some additional Humanities or general subjects depending on the school's timetable.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive department where you'll inspire students to develop critical thinking, explore different cultures and beliefs, and deepen their understanding of historical events that have shaped the modern world.
The Role:
Full-time Humanities Teacher
Predominantly Religious Studies and History
Some additional subject teaching may be required
Teaching KS3 and KS4
September start
Planning, preparation and marking expected
Supportive leadership team and collaborative Humanities department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Religious Studies and/or History in UK secondary schools
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
The flexibility to teach across the wider curriculum where required
A passion for engaging students and raising attainment
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
