Children's Complex Care Assistant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate female Healthcare Assistant to support a young client with complex health needs during night shifts. This role provides one-to-one care in the child's home, working closely with the family and multidisciplinary team.

• Pallister-Killian syndrome with epilepsy and autonomic dysfunction
• Scoliosis, reflux, vomiting, and visual impairment
• Follow advanced care plan regarding resuscitation
• Monitor oxygen saturation and heart rate
• Manage oral secretions with suctioning
• Administer nebulised/oral medications and buccal midazolam for seizures
• Care for PEG‑J tube (jejunal feeding and drainage)
• Use hoisting and postural management equipment for safe transfers
• Support personal care and monitor skin integrity

• Wednesday: 22:00 - 07:00

Essential qualifications include knowledge of infection control, experience with scoliosis management, oxygen therapy, enteral feeding, visual impairment, epilepsy, and paediatric complex care.

We offer comprehensive in-house training and an induction programme led by a Nurse Manager, along with ongoing support from the team. Please note, payment through limited companies is not available.
