$17.50/hr - $21.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy as per state and federal regulations. Assist with other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, assist and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.

• Under supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Review and comply with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Perform duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring accurate data entry, filling prescriptions, verifying medication correctness, and checking for interactions.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
• Adhere strictly to Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required, and assist customers in the OTC aisle when possible.
• Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
• Process manual claims for third‑party program prescription services in a timely manner and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
• Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities (ordering, unpacking, checking, storing, and filing claims).
• Assist pharmacists in administering clinical services, including collection and labeling of blood/urine samples and coordination with Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing good relationships with the local medical community.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance of the Pharmacy Department to ensure adequate supplies and a clean, neat, orderly appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state‑required certification/registration. PTCB certification may be a condition of promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training, complete required PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits.
• Maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy, including staying up to date with the latest news and developments.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
