PHARMACY/TECHNICIAN role at Kroger Mountain View Foods

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Comply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations, guidelines, procedures, and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Follow the company’s computerized inventory management, control, and ordering guidelines for medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
• Maintain departmental standards, keeping workstations and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
• Complete billing procedures efficiently to assure best value for the customer and the company.
• Answer phone and triage calls, providing appropriate inquiries.
• Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, limits on cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines.
• Operate the cash register and follow cashier handling policies, including tendering electronic transactions such as credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash, and checks.
• Provide excellent customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require professional judgement.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidential information.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
• Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Must perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meet minimum state requirements for the position.

Desired:

• Previous comparable experience.
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• Familiarity with EPRN.
