Position Summary
Retail Assistant Store Manager - 2281 at First Cash — We are seeking a capable leader to support daily store operations, promote a positive customer experience, and drive store performance. This role requires a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations/satisfaction.
This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $4.19 per hour on top of your hourly rate. The actual pay will depend on location, qualifications, and experience.

- Manage day-to-day store operations with a customer-centric focus and professional client engagement.
- Assist in training Pawnbrokers to First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open/close the store, manage cash drawers, and safeguard assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and proper documentation for loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, systems, and reporting.
- Analyze store financials and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Maintain compliance with First Cash operating standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees; maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, etc., in accordance with law).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Ability to work at exterior locations or handle products stored externally as needed.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Ability to work in multiple locations as needed and to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate with POS systems and standard office equipment; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; analytical capabilities.
- Cash handling experience required; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
