Overview

Retail Store Manager to join our Team. The position offers a hourly rate of $21.20 to $26.46 per hour with a very lucrative monthly bonus potential that contributes to a major portion of the total yearly income.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager with 2+ years of management and customer service experience (retail/sales is a PLUS). A Store Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. The Store Manager will lead, coach, and develop store employees; recruit and retain top talent; and be responsible for maximizing financial goals and managing customer relations / customer satisfaction.

The Store Manager analyzes the store’s financial statements to ensure goals are met and adjusts as necessary. The Store Manager commits to the company’s asset protection program, inventory control, and securing customer loans. The role includes using marketing tools to promote the business and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This position offers a competitive wage plus a bonus based on store performance and reports to the District Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise and ensuring procedures protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes within the store (inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and enterprise-level reporting).
  • Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to convey the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • Employees may assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as needed
  • Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Store Managers will work 45+ hours a week; hours are based on business needs
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office machines
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Cash handling experience is required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Store Managers receive a commission based on the store’s monthly gross profit. Applicants will receive more details during the interview process.
