Assistant Professor - Pediatrics, Faculty Position - Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, PA. The Director of Translational Research and Developmental Therapeutics at the Four Diamond Childhood Cancer Research Center is seeking applications for the Assistant Professor position. Research is focused on epigenetics and 3D chromatin organization, the molecular mechanisms that regulate malignant transformation and cellular proliferation in leukemia, and the development of novel treatments for pediatric malignancies.
The salary of this yearly renewable position will be established according to institutional guidelines. The position is supported by an R01 grant, several childhood cancer research foundation grants, and the Four Diamonds Endowment (Dovat).
- Perform ChIP-seq, CUT&RUN, CUT&Tag, RNA-SEQ, ATAC-seq, GRO-seq, Hi-C, Hi-ChIP, 3-C, 4-C, and related techniques in normal and malignant cells.
- Design and execute complex experiments to analyze epigenomic regulation of gene expression and 3D organization of chromatin and genome.
- Contribute to ongoing leukemia research projects and the development of pediatric cancer therapies.
- PhD in hand by start date.
- Experience with the listed genomic technologies is desirable.
- Motivated, independent, highly organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
