Milton Hershey School (MHS) is currently seeking a Middle Division Assistant Musical Director. The responsibility of the position will be to assist the director in coordinating efforts to produce the Middle Division spring musical . The Assistant Musical Director works closely with the Visual and Performing Arts Director and team to deliver a production of the highest quality . A holistic, team approach that supports MHS Sacred Values and reinforces the development of students’ social and emotional competencies is required.

• High school diploma/GED equivalent, bachelor’s degree in theatre is a plus.
• Minimum 2-year experience performing in middle/high school or college groups.
• Minimum 2-year experience instructing theatre including musical.
• Demonstrated success in developing students’ performance skills.
• Experience leading rehearsals and providing constructive & encouraging feedback.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Highly organized, reliable, and positive in outlook, inspiring others to exemplify those same traits.
• Candiate must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students.
• Candiate must be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
