The school, fully endowed through the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, offers an exceptional athletic program with state‑of‑the‑art facilities and coaching staffs.

MHS is seeking a Middle School Track & Field Assistant Coach for the Spring 2025‑2026 season. This ancillary position is one year, running through June, with practices Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Meetings are held on weekdays after school/evenings and some weekend events may be required. Off‑season work is flexible but necessary. Stipend: $3,561‑$4,630 per season, based on experience and full participation.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 1 year of successful coaching experience or experience playing at the collegiate level.
• Knowledge of current coaching techniques, rules, regulations, and training theory for the sport.
• Ability to teach beginner skills while developing athletes at various skill levels in a positive, professional manner.
• Experience coaching throwing events (shot put and discus) at the middle school level.
• Ability to lead and inspire diverse youth; experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds preferred.
• Skill in providing safe, structured skill‑development practice and playing experiences while fostering high character in student‑athletes.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Uphold high ethical standards, serving as a role model and demonstrating commitment to student engagement.
• Willingness to engage actively with students beyond job responsibilities.
