We are seeking a part‑time Technical Service Animal Attendant for the Zebrafish Functional Genomics Core at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA.
The candidate must be able to work independently but in a collaborative environment. Hours are flexible and include several weekdays (morning and/or afternoon) and weekends on a rotation schedule, but not to exceed 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Feeding zebrafish
- Harvesting brine shrimp to feed the zebrafish housed in recirculating aquaria
- Cleaning aquarium and maintaining systems
Must be able to communicate well with others, follow specific directions, and work independently. Must be willing to go through a short training period and work in a warm and humid environment. No experience required.
