This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the arrangements and banquets staff, and to enforce banquet service standards across the operation. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
- Supervise both the Arrangements and Banquets employees; schedule, train, process payroll, evaluate and enforce service standards.*
- Rotate and assist in coverage with Convention Center Beverage Department*
- Act as a liaison with the Convention Services, General Kitchen, Culinary, and Beverage departments.*
- Create and design decorative and creative buffet and hors d'oeuvres presentations in line with our standards.*
- Maintain positive employee and guest relations by anticipating needs and responding promptly to all requests.*
- Perform and Assist in the training of all Arrangements and Banquets employees in safety and sanitation according to SOPs and Department of Health guidelines.*
- Convey information and work within strict deadlines.*
- Multi-task and react quickly and effectively to all service challenges.*
- Participate in the properties Manager on Duty rotation and perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
- Post-Employment - Serv Safe Handler and RAMP Certifications
- Must have a valid Drivers' License
- Completion of high school or GED
- N/A
