SUMMARY OF POSITION

Float pool staff are instrumental in carrying out our organizational mission by supporting a variety of clinical units as part of daily operations. They are deployed in response to unpredictable absences, vacancies, and/or fluctuating acuity. In return, float pool staff is compensated for their expertise and flexibility to meet these ongoing demands.

Critical care float RNs are trained to staff-

  • Surgical Anesthesia Intensive Care Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit
  • Medical Intensive Care Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit
  • Heart and Vascular Intensive Care Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit
  • Neuroscience Critical Care Unit (blended Intensive and Intermediate Care Unit)
  • Adult Emergency Department
  • Adult Perianesthesia Unit

Orientation is completed in partnership with the Nursing Education and Professional Development specialist who will evaluate and monitor your growing clinical skills while guiding your unique associated education.

Self-scheduling occurs in conjunction with the organizational timeline and simultaneously with core units.

This role is perfectly suited for RNs with solid experience looking for variety, autonomous practice, and a challenging landscape. We hope you will join us!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)
  • Professional certification in field of specialty, ie. CCRN
  • Minimum three (3) years experience: RN in Intensive Care, Intermediate Care, or Emergency Department positions
